Effective Shortcuts That Save You Time and Money as a Marketer

Productivity is one of the most important things you can manage and master in your business. One of the ways that you can achieve this is by developing shortcuts that not only save you time but also money.
Back when I began my business I was working full-time in a demanding job, was 5 months pregnant, and had an 18-month-old at home. To say I was burning the candle at both ends would be an understatement. Almost every minute had to be productive in order to get everything done.
Being an online entrepreneur is filled with tasks that demand a lot of energy and creativity. There are also many tasks that you can automate and replicate in a way that streamlines your workflow and helps you achieve more using fewer hours of your day. Plus when you can offload those boring tasks you have more time for your creative skills!
Let's talk about some of the shortcuts you can implement in your business in an effort to earn more and work less.
Templates
The first thing you may want to do is create templates that can be cloned over and over again for tasks that you are doing such as images, sales pages, and other documents.
You can use a template that you clone and then edit with specific details for each individual project. That way, you aren't having to start from scratch. You can do this with just about anything, your emails, graphics, sales pages, project tasks, and more!
Batch Working
Another thing you can do when improving your productivity is to batch work together. The biggest advantage to batch working is that you accomplish a lot of one particular task. For those of us that get into the flow of doing something, this is a great strategy. For example, if you know you are going to need one blog post a week, get a month’s worth of them all done at the same time. That is exactly what I’m doing right now as I write to you.
I love doing this for social media posts. It always feels good to get those done. You can do the same for creating videos. Instead of having to redo your video recording setup, you'll have everything open and ready to go at once and you can create and/or edit several videos at once to make it a faster and easier process.
Outsource
Now, if you have the ability to take this shortcut, you can outsource your tasks to someone else. There are virtual assistants, ghostwriters, marketing experts, graphic artists, and other experts who are ready and able to help you by taking projects off of your plate and handling them on their own.
If you are on a budget, but you still need a little bit of help with content creation, you might want to start investing in private label rights (PLR). This is a content shortcut where you purchase readymade content that you can tweak and put your name on it as your own.
It's much more affordable, and you can download and use it the same day, rather than having to wait over a period of time when you outsource your content to a freelancer and have to wait for deliverables.
Automation
There are other ways that you can improve your productivity with shortcuts. For example, there are ways you can automate the publishing of your blog posts, social media posts, and email autoresponders. There are lots of platforms out there that will help you implement and automate various tasks. You can find a list of my favorites here.
All of these ways to improve your productivity will serve you well as methods and tools that you can rely on to help you get more done in a shorter amount of time. In many cases, it will also cut costs and help improve your profitability.
